I want to share some beautiful images of all the beautiful things spring brings, in hopes that they will remind you of just how beautiful our world is. I will also share hopeful facts about current POSITIVE pandemic developments, because at times like these, it is important to see the silver lining.

On March 19, China reported no new locally transmitted cases for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Air pollution has plummeted in cities with high numbers of quarantined individuals. Emissions of the planet-heating gas CO2 have also fallen sharply.

Children seem to be infected less often and have milder disease.

Grocery stores are offering special hours for the elderly and vulnerable. Neighbours are helping neighbours get groceries when they are isolating and can't leave the house.

Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Centre claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus. This may prove to be a big step in developing a vaccine for COVID-19.

A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China.

The number of new cases in South Korea are declining.

Vaccination trials have started in the US, with it's first volunteer, Jennifer Haller receiving the first dose on March 16th.

The internet exists! We currently have ways to practice social distancing, but remain closer than ever.

So if you are reading this and you're feeling a little overwhelmed, know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I truly believe that most people are good, and that now is the perfect time to put aside our differences and recognise that we all share these commonalities:

We are all human, we all get sick and we all care about our loved ones.

So take this time, to forgive someone you haven't been able to forgive in a while. Call someone you keep meaning to call, but haven't gotten around to.

Take it day by day, keep your spirits high and know that this too, shall pass.

Thank you unsplash.com for the images.

*Please not this information may change in the coming days, but it is important to note that these little celebrations are all part of the journey.
